EXPLORING COLLABORATIONS IN RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT WITH AITI

Monday 19 February 2024 – The Office of Assistant Vice Chancellor - Innovation and Enterprise (OAVC-IE) paid a courtesy visit to The Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) Headquarters at Anggerek Desa aiming to explore opportunities for potential research and development and other priority areas. AITI was led by Puan Hjh Yusrina Hj Mat Yussof, the Senior Manager (Spectrum Planning, Numbering and Technology) and was joined by her team while UBD was led Professor Dr Mohd Ayub Sadiq @ Lin Naing, by the Assistant Vice Chancellor (Innovation and Enterprise) who was accompanied by the Deputy Director (Innovation), Dr Lim Ren Chong. The 1-hour meeting yield intentions and strong interests from both parties to pursue collaborative research projects particularly in the scope of 5G ecosystem.

UBD's visit to AITI for research collaborations signifies a strategic partnership aimed at harnessing the collective strengths of academia and industry to address societal challenges, drive innovation, and foster sustainable development in Brunei Darussalam's ICT sector.

Established on 1 January 2003 through the AITI Order 2001. AITI has played a pivotal role in shaping Brunei Darussalam’s digital landscape and fostering innovation in the realm of information and communication technology.
