Entrepreneurship Village and UBD Startup Centre were delighted to organize Startup Spark for the incoming batch of UBD freshers on 4th January 2024. This initiative aimed to introduce the new students to the vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem available at UBD, emphasizing the myriad opportunities for them to explore and engage in entrepreneurial activities during their academic journey.
The primary goal of the session was to familiarize the new intake with the diverse entrepreneurship platforms offered by UBD, particularly the Entrepreneurship Village and UBD Startup Centre. These entities serve as dynamic hubs that not only foster innovation but also provide invaluable resources for aspiring entrepreneurs within the university.
During the talk, Dr Annie Dayani Binti Hj Ahad, Deputy Director of Enterprise (OAVCIE), highlighted the significance of these platforms, shedding light on the incubation programs, venture lab, and the exciting prospects offered through events like the Reach Hackathon. The session underscored how these initiatives play a pivotal role in nurturing entrepreneurial spirit, guiding students through the intricacies of startup development, and facilitating collaboration in the dynamic world of innovation.
The Startup Spark event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, allowing the new UBD freshers to seek more information, clarify doubts, and express their specific interests in the entrepreneurial domain. Overall, the session served as a dynamic introduction to the rich entrepreneurial ecosystem at UBD, setting the stage for the incoming students to embark on a journey of innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurial success.
