International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) visit to UBD

An International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Director of Division for Technical Cooperation in Asia and the Pacific  (TCAP), Ms Jane Gerardo-Abaya, together with Mr Syahril, Project Management Officer for Brunei Darussalam, and Prof Francesco Giammarile, IAEA Technical Officer in Health Programme, visited UBD on the 8th November, 2022. SHENA team, led by the Director of Compliance and International Affairs Division, Datin Zubaidah binti Hj Mahmud, also joined the visit.

During the visit, potential IAEA supports for training, innovative research, and infrastructure development were discussed in the areas of Nuclear Science and Technology Education, Environmental Health and Monitoring and nuclear technology applications in recycling plastics, agriculture, and pest control.
