Meeting with Royal Brunei Technical Services (RBTS)

On Monday afternoon, 30th May 2022, members of OAVCIE went to Royal Brunei Technical Services (RBTS) to have discussions on possible collaboration. Leading the discussion for UBD were Professor Dr Mohammad Ayub Sadiq @ Lin Naing, Assistant Vice Chancellor (Innovation and Enterprise), and joining the discussion were Pg Dr Emeroylariffion bin Pg Abas (Director of OAVCIE) and Hjh Masriatol Zuraifah bte Hj Sajali (Industry Liaison Officer, OAVCIE). On behalf of RBTS were led by Puan Hamizah bte Kamis (Manager RBTS Engineering), Yusrin bin Nayan (Human Resources), and Mr Adrian (Repair Craft). From the discussions, the central area discussed was apprenticeship opportunities for UBD students. This provides valuable experience to UBD students and to be able to put what they learn into practice.

Royal Brunei Technical Services Sdn Bhd (RBTS) is a government-linked company established in 1988.  Originally set up as an acquisition agency to procure strategic & sensitive equipment for various defence and security agencies in Brunei Darussalam, RBTS has now extended its operations to include medical supply chain in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.  RBTS has since evolved to focus its current core business to support Life Cycle Management services.
