Proton conducting oxide electrolytes for solid oxide fuel cells has got considerable interest for its capability of intermediate temperature operation which solve the problems like materials degradation, prolong the lifetime and reduced cost by reducing the operating temperature of SOFCs from 900 oC to 600 oC. The invention discloses a new proton conducting material, which shows highest power density at 600 degree C.
