Brunei Innovation Lab Visit by Entrepreneurship Village

On 20th September 2022, Entrepreneurship Village (EV) organised a visit to Brunei Innovation Lab (BIL) with 30 students of DY Incubation Intake August 2022, members of the Faculty Representative of Entrepreneurship Development and members of Office of Assistant Vice Chancellor (Innovation and Enterprise).
Participants had the opportunity to understand better how BIL’s role as the nation’s platform for developing an innovation ecosystem and community to produce digital champions and technopreneurs to lead a vibrant and sustainable economy of Brunei Darussalam. The tour showcased BIL’s facilities for training and workshops provided by the strategic collaboration partners in this initiative; Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP), Darussalam Enterprise (DARe), DST and Brunei Shell LiveWIRE. Success stories under BIL were also shared during the visit to understand better the challenging yet fruitful journey they experienced as entrepreneurs.
The tour ended with demonstrations of working prototypes and equipment on trend in the digital and technology industry – showing how simple concepts and ideas can be created with purpose and impact in the market.
It is hoped that this tour shows all participants the entrepreneurial initiatives provided outside the university and how Brunei as a nation have made strides in ensuring the entrepreneurship ecosystem is well supporting and synergising with each other.
