ROYAL BRUNEI AIRLINES EXPLORING PARTNERSHIPS WITH UBD

Wednesday, 10 January 2024- The Office of Assistant Vice Chancellor (Innovation and Enterprise) proudly hosted a meeting with Royal Brunei Airlines (RBA) to bring together UBD’s distinguished academic researchers from relevant faculties and the RBA officials to explore potential research and development collaborations, as well as discuss the possibility of internship opportunities for UBD students within the airline industry. The meeting witnessed an exchange of ideas, expertise, and aspirations between academia and industry, underscoring the commitment of both UBD and RBA to advancing technologies and innovation within the aviation sector.

RBA was represented by senior officials, Tuan Pengiran Mohd Afi bin Pengiran Haji Ahamad, Vice President Information Technology and Puan Susan Shim Siew San, Vice President Digital. UBD team was led by Professor Dr Mohd Ayub Sadiq @ Lin Naing, the Assistant Vice Chancellor (Innovation and Enterprise), accompanying him were Dr Rosyzie Anna bte Awang Haji Mohd Apong, Acting Dean of School of Digital Science, Dr Haji Muhammad Hanif Assyafie Hanif bin Abdul Rahman, Coordinator of Digital Solutions Hub, and Pengiran Dr Emeroylariffion bin Pg Abas, Senior Assistant Professor, Faculty of Integrated Technologies.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to advancing collaboration, outlining next steps that include formalizing agreements to go further to setting project timelines and establishing ongoing communication channels.
